There are other ways to keep content alive on social media. We can highlight a tweet by pinning it on the profile page, so it will always appear as the last tweet published. We can change the cover image of Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Linkedin by inserting the cover of our book. These are methods that do not bother others. However, if there is news, then it should certainly be reported on social media. But repeating every week that the book has been released in bookstores doesn't seem right to me. Promotional Tweet : I posted a message reporting my book to the bookstore.
Remember that the optimal image dimensions are 506×253 pixels. Post on Google Plus : here I wrote a very short post to point out the image of the book. Update on Linkedin : on this social network I only Special Data shared the blog post, but there is a publications section where you can add your works. Goodreads : I signed up to the Authors program of this social network - which must be approved - and I inserted my book (without voting for it, obviously, which is permitted but absurd). Photo on Instagram : I took a photo of the book. I like to use Instagram in a natural way, I don't like images created with Photoshop.
I didn't post all these messages at once, I tried to find out when was the best time to show them to my contacts. The marketing plan should also include a series of hashtags and tags to use in messages, to increase their diffusion, which I didn't do. Independent editorial promotion What do I mean?
